You can troubleshoot many Spectrum Receiver problems by sending a refresh signal to your device.

A refresh signal may resolve the following issues:

  • Missing channels
  • Problems with interactive guide
  • No picture
  • Poor picture quality
To refresh your receiver, you must be signed in to Spectrum.net. Get details on signing into or out of Spectrum.net.

Refresh Your Spectrum Receiver

  1. Sign in to Spectrum.net.
  2. Select TV from the top menu bar. Or, if you're already signed in, go there directly.
  3. Select Troubleshoot in the TV Service & Equipment section.

  1. A dialog box will appear. Select Refresh All Equipment to refresh your receiver or receivers.

Note: This will send a refresh signal to every receiver associated with your Spectrum account. Refresh signals are limited to one every 15 minutes up to a maximum of three within a 24-hour period. Sending a refresh signal won't interfere with scheduled recordings or previously recorded programs on DVRs.

Using Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

Our automated attendant can refresh your receiver over the phone.

  1. Call (833) 267-6094.
  2. When asked to briefly describe the reason for your call, say "Refresh my box."
  3. All receivers in your home will be refreshed. This process can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
Note: Refresh signals are limited to one every 15 minutes, up to a maximum of three within a 24-hour period. Sending a refresh signal won't interfere with scheduled recordings or previously recorded programs on DVRs.

Reset Your Spectrum Receiver

To reset or power cycle your receiver, unplug it for 15 seconds and then plug it back in. Wait up to 20 minutes for the receiver to fully recover before turning it back on.
