How many shows can I record on my DVR?

Because Spectrum DVRs come in different hard disk drive sizes, recording capacity varies. Check your equipment or refer to its documentation to determine the model you have:

  • Motorola DVR: On average, a Motorola DVR will record and store up to 100 digital hours, up to 43 analog hours and up to 21 HD hours, or a combination thereof.
  • Cisco/SA DVR: On average, a Cisco/SA 80 GB hard disk drive can record and store between 30 and 50 hours, while a 160 GB hard disk drive can store up to 90 hours of standard-definition digital programming.

 

How do I view my recorded programs?

Press the DVR/My DVR button on your remote control.

You can also access your recordings through My Library:

  1. Press Menu on your remote control.
  2. Navigate to My Library using the arrow buttons on your remote control and then press OK/Select.
  3. Highlight Recordings, then arrow left to My DVR and press OK/Select.
  4. Use the arrow buttons on your remote control to navigate through your recordings.

 

How do I record an entire series?

To schedule a series recording:

  1. Press Guide on your remote control.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to navigate to the program you want to record and then press OK/Select.
  3. Highlight Record Series using the arrow buttons and then press OK/Select.
  4. Use the arrow buttons to change your recording options.
  5. Highlight Save and then press OK/Select.

How do I sort recordings?

  1. Press DVR/My DVR to show recorded programs.
  2. Press the right arrow button to highlight recorded programs and then press up to sort.
  3. Use the right or left arrow button to sort programs alphabetically or by network, recording age or groupings.

 

How do I view scheduled recordings?

  1. Press DVR/My DVR on your remote control.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to scroll to Scheduled and then press OK/Select.
Note: While in Recordings, you can press DVR/My DVR again to toggle between Recordings and Scheduled.

 

Can I set DVR recordings when I'm not at home?

Yes, you can set DVR recordings remotely using the Spectrum TV app. Learn how.

 

How do I access DVR settings?

  1. Press Menu on your remote control.
  2. Use the arrow buttons to scroll to Settings & Support and then press OK/Select.
  3. Highlight DVR Settings using the arrow buttons and then press OK/Select.
  4. Here you'll be able to manage the following settings:
    • Group Like Items
    • Show Recording Alerts
    • Available Storage
  5. Highlight Save using the arrow buttons and then press OK/Select to confirm your changes.
