You can troubleshoot many Spectrum Receiver problems by sending a refresh signal to your device.

A refresh signal may resolve the following issues:

  • Missing channels
  • Problems with interactive guide
  • No picture
  • Poor picture quality
To refresh your receiver, you must be signed in to Spectrum.net. Get details on how to sign in or sign out of Spectrum.net.

Refresh Your Spectrum Receiver

  1. Sign in to Spectrum.net.
  2. Select the Menu icon in the top left hand corner of the screen and choose Manage Account. Then select TV. Or, if you're already signed in, go there directly.
  3. Select Refresh in the Equipment section.
This process can take up to 15 minutes to complete. Refreshing your receiver won't affect settings, recordings or previously saved programs.

Note: Refresh signals are limited to one every 15 minutes up to a maximum of three updates within a 24-hour period. Sending a refresh signal won't interfere with scheduled or previously recorded programs on DVRs.

Using Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

Our automated attendant can refresh your receiver over the phone.

  1. Call (833) 267-6094.
  2. When asked to briefly describe the reason for your call, say "Refresh my box."
  3. All receivers in your home will be refreshed. This process can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
Note: Refresh signals are limited to one every 15 minutes, up to a maximum of three refreshes within a 24-hour period. Sending a refresh signal won't interfere with scheduled or previously recorded programs on DVRs.

Reset Your Spectrum Receiver

To reset or power cycle your receiver, unplug it for 15 seconds and then plug it back in. Wait up to 20 minutes for the receiver to fully recover before turning it back on.
