Using the Spectrum Guide

Access the Spectrum Guide by pressing the Guide button on your remote. You can also press Menu and then use the arrow buttons to scroll to Guide in the main menu.

In the Guide you can:

  • Find program listings.
  • View program descriptions and live video.
  • Set DVR recordings (if using a DVR).
  • Tune to channel 2400 to view the Spectrum Guide Support video library.
  • Tune to channel 2401 to access account information.
  • Order Pay-Per-View titles and more.


Support Video Library

You can find support for your Spectrum services by tuning to channel 2400 in the Spectrum Guide.

Account Overview

You can find information about your Spectrum account and TV equipment by tuning to channel 2401 in the Spectrum Guide.

Note: If you have recently rebooted your Spectrum receiver, it may take up to 31.5 hours for channel 2401 to return.

Guide Narration

This feature enables audible navigation support. There are three ways to access Guide Narration:

  1. Press A on your remote control, then arrow down to highlight Guide Narration and press OK/Select.
  2. Press A, then 3 and then OK/Select.
  3. Press the Menu button, then arrow down to Settings and Support and press OK/Select. Then highlight and select Accessibility. Navigate to Guide Narration and press OK/Select.

Standard Guide

The Standard Guide offers detailed program information in a quick view format that includes icons for new programs, favorites, parental controls and more.

Press the Guide button on your remote to access the Standard Guide.

 

Video Guide

Video Guide

 

The Video Guide offers all of the functionality of the standard guide, plus streaming video of each channel.

Press the Guide button on the remote a second time to switch between the Standard Guide and Video Guide.

 

Browse the Guide

  • Press Guide on your remote to view program listings for the current hour. TV listings appear in a grid format, with channel numbers and network names down the left side and show times along the top.
  • Navigate the Guide using the arrow buttons on your remote to view program titles and program listings.
  • For faster browsing, use the Page Up/Down buttons on the remote to browse listings one page at a time.
  • Press and hold the arrow buttons on the remote in the direction you want to browse to move through the listings rapidly.

 

Channel Bar and Mini Guide

The Channel Bar and Mini Guide can be accessed quickly without interrupting full-screen viewing.

The Channel Bar displays the title, rating, date, time and channel information for the program you're currently watching.

Press the OK/Select button on the remote while viewing programming to display the Channel Bar.

Mini Guide

Mini guide

 

The Mini Guide offers all of the functionality of the Standard Guide while allowing you to keep viewing the channel you're watching while searching for other programming.

Press the OK/Select button twice on the remote while viewing programming to display the Mini Guide.

You can also view and browse the full-size Guide while viewing a DVR event or time-shifted event by pressing Guide or Menu. Your event will continue playing in a picture-in-picture window.

 

Info Banner

The Info Banner provides detailed programming information for the current show you're watching or within the Guide.

Access the Info Banner while watching a program:

  1. Press the Info button on the remote while watching a program.
  2. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to navigate the Info Banner, then highlight one of the following options and then press OK/Select.
    • Watch: Watch current programming on the channel.
    • More Information: View more information about the selected program, including cast and crew, similar titles and future listings.
    • Close: Close the Info Banner and return to previous programming.

Access Info Banner from within the Guide page:

  1. Press the Guide button on the remote.
  2. Scroll to a desired title using the arrow buttons on the remote and then press Info to view programming information.
  3. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to navigate the Info Banner, select an option and then press OK/Select.
  4. Press Exit on the remote to close the Info Banner.

Guide Options provides quick access to the following:

  • Show Video or Standard Guide
  • Show Dark or Light guide
  • Filter and Sort Channels
  • Jump to a Different Date
  • Show or Hide Adult Titles
 

Access Guide Options

To access Guide Options:

  1. Press the Guide button on your remote.
  2. Press A or Shapes on the remote.

 

Show Video or Standard Guide

Toggle between the Standard and Video guide.

  1. Press the Guide button on your remote.
  2. Press A or Shapes on the remote.
  3. Navigate to Show Video Guide or Show Standard Guide using the arrow buttons on the remote, and then press OK/Select.

Show Dark or Light Guide

Change the color of the Guide.

  1. Press the Guide button on your remote.
  2. Press A or Shapes on the remote.
  3. Navigate to Show Dark Guide or Show Light Guide using the arrow buttons on the remote and then press OK/Select.

Filter and Sort Channels

You can filter and sort channels by the following categories:

  • All Channels: Displays all channels available in your area.
  • My Subscriptions: Displays only the channels included in your Spectrum TV subscription.
  • Favorites: Displays the channels you have saved as favorites.
  • HD Only: Displays programming available in High Definition (HD) only.
  • Premium: Displays programming available through your premium subscriptions.
  • Alphabetically: Displays all channels in alphabetical order.
  • Channel Number: Displays all channels in numerical order.
Filter and Sort

 

Add Filters:

  1. Press the Guide button on your remote.
  2. Press A or Shapes on the remote.
  3. Navigate to Filter & Sort Channels using the arrow buttons on the remote and then press OK/Select.
  4. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to highlight the desired filter or filters, and then press OK/Select.
  5. Select Filter using arrow buttons on the remote and press OK/Select to update the Guide.

Delete Filters:

  1. Press the Guide button on your remote.
  2. Press A or Shapes on the remote and then press OK/Select.
  3. Navigate to Filter & Sort Channels using the arrow buttons on the remote and then press OK/Select.
  4. Use the arrow buttons on the remote to highlight the remove desired filter(s) and press OK/Select.
  5. Select Filter using arrow buttons on the remote and press OK/Select to update the Guide.

Sort Filters:

  1. Select the desired Sort option to filter selection Alphabetically or by Channel Number and then press OK/Select.
  2. Select Filter using the arrow buttons on the remote and then press OK/Select to update the Guide.

 

Jump to a Different Date

The Spectrum Guide allows you to view future programming listings.

Select Date

 

  1. Press the Guide button on your remote.
  2. Press A or Shapes on the remote.
  3. Scroll to Jump to a Different Date (up to two weeks in the future) using the arrow buttons on the remote and then press OK/Select.
  4. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the desired listing date and then press OK/Select.
  5. Browse available titles scheduled for that date and then select a program to view additional details and options.

 

Show All Titles or Hide Adult Titles

The Spectrum Guide allows you an option to Show or Hide Adult Titles.

  1. Press the Guide button on your remote.
  2. Press A or Shapes on the remote.
  3. Scroll to Show All Titles or Hide Adult titles using the arrow buttons on the remote and then press OK/Select.
Note: Turning ON the Hide Adult Content setting will hide adult titles in the guide whether Parental Controls are ON or OFF. It's important to remember that Parental Controls must be turned ON to require your PIN if adult content is accessed using direct channel number input. See Spectrum Guide Settings: Parental Controls   for more information.

You'll see a Welcome Screen after you receive the new Spectrum Guide update that will walk you through the new guide set-up. Press OK/Select on your remote to Get Started, then follow the on-screen prompts and watch the Get to Know Spectrum introduction video.   • Search: Find a specific program by entering the first few letters of a network, title, keyword or actor name.
  • Guide: Find program listings, view program descriptions and more.
  • My Library: See your recently viewed programs, favorite channels, Watchlist and more.
  • TV Shows: On Demand content is broken into TV Shows, Movies and the Video Store.
  • Movies: On Demand content is broken into TV Shows, Movies and the Video Store.
  • Video Store: On Demand content is broken into TV Shows, Movies and the Video Store.
  • Settings & Support: Manage closed captioning, parental controls, audio and video settings and more.

Use your remote control to watch helpful videos right on your TV. Simply press Menu and navigate to the support videos: Settings & Support > Support > Support Videos.
