The following information will help you use Spectrum's Security Suite software to filter emails for spam and phishing. Security Suite will scan any message attachments you attempt to download to help protect your computer from viruses and malicious software. Learn more   about Security Suite features.

Note: You can only use Security Suite spam filtering and email scanning on Windows computers with installed mail clients, not webmail services. To ensure your computer remains protected from spam and phishing, download the latest version of Spectrum Security Suite.

To enable Spam Filtering:

  1. Open Security Suite.
  2. Select the Status tab, then Settings.

  1. Choose Spam Filtering and make sure the feature is turned on.
  2. Check the box next to Mark Spam with SPAM in the e-mail subject field, and then select Instructions to create filtering rules.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to customize your spam filters.
