To check or change your DNS Server settings on a Mac, follow the steps below.

  1. Select the Apple Menu and choose System Preferences.
  2. Select Network.
  3. Select the network connection you want to use (Ethernet, WiFi, etc.).
  4. The current DNS Server is shown in the DNS Server field. To access more DNS settings, select Advanced.
  5. Select DNS. To add a new DNS, select Add+ at the bottom of the DNS Servers list. Then enter the IPv4 or IPv6 address for the DNS server.
  6. Select OK.
