Spectrum Email Quick Reference Guide
You can access email on Spectrum.net if you're a Spectrum Internet customer with a Spectrum.net username.
Before you get started using Spectrum email, we recommend that you make sure you're using the latest version of your web browser and operating system. Learn more about Spectrum.net system requirements.

To sign out of email, select "Sign Out" at the top right.
Unified Inbox Menu (Access third-party email)
Add and view email from third-party email accounts (i.e. Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).
Email - Create, read, and manage your email
Search and Advanced Search - search emails by keyword
Compose - create a new message
Get Mail - refreshes your inbox
Additional Actions - Reply, Reply All, Forward, Mark As, Move, Delete, etc.
Contacts - Create, edit and manage your contacts
Add Contact - create contact
Add Group - create contact group
Edit - edit a selected contact
Sort - sort contacts by first or last name
Search Contact - search for a contact by name or email address
Import/Export Contacts - select the More icon to import or export contacts
Settings - manage your general and account settings
Set preferences for Display Email Images, Automatic Draft Save, Notifications, Enable Message Preview, Permanently Delete, Time Zone, Language, Messages Per Page and Signature.
Set your account's Mailbox Storage, Enable Mail Forwarding, Real Name, and Reply To.
Read email and take action (reply, forward, delete, etc.).
Access and edit saved email drafts.
Access your sent messages.
Holds emails identified as Spam and automatically deletes permanently after 14 days.
Holds deleted email and automatically deletes permanently after 3 days.
Create folders to organize your email.
Email Feature Quick Reference Table
Select an email feature from the list below to learn more.
Email: Create, read and manage your email.
Search and Advanced Search: By default, this feature searches the From and Subject lines of your emails. You can conduct an Advanced Search by selecting the magnifying glass icon in the search field.
Compose: Opens a blank email form in a new window.
Get Mail: Checks for new emails and refreshes your inbox.
Additional Actions: Reply, Reply All, Forward, Mark As, Move, Delete, Sort, Print and Help.

Standard Email Functionality: Organize and view your email messages.
Inbox: Read email and take action (reply, forward, delete, etc)
Drafts: Access saved draft email and take action (complete and send, delete, etc.).
Sent Mail: Keeps a copy of your sent messages for later access.
Spam: Holds email identified as Spam. Messages in this folder will permanently be deleted after 14 days.
Trash: Holds deleted emails. Messages in this folder will permanently be deleted after 3 days.
My Folders: Create folders to organize your email messages.
Sign Out: Select Sign Out at the top right of the page to sign out of your Spectrum email account.

Contacts: Create, edit and manage your contacts.
Add Contact: Create a new contact, including email, phone and address.
My Groups: Create a group folder to organize your contacts.
Edit: Select a contact followed by the pencil icon to edit its information. To add a contact to a specific group, check the box next to the contact's name and select Move.
Sort: View contacts by first or last name.
Search Contacts: Search for a contact by name or email address.

Note: General settings apply to your full email account, including Spectrum and third-party accounts added via Unified Inbox.

Note: Account Settings apply to your Spectrum email account only.
Unified Inbox Menu: Access third-party email.
Unified Inbox: Add and view email from third party accounts (i.e. Gmail, Yahoo, etc).
To add an external email account:

Email Parental Controls: Block and allow senders.
Email Parental Controls: Block and allow selected senders.
This allows you to block messages from individual email addresses or entire domains (the domain is the part of the email address that comes after the @ sign). Enter the email address or domain in the field and select Apply to add it to the list. You can also remove addresses or domains from the list using the Remove button. Emails from the addresses and domains on the list won't be delivered to you.
You can make a list of email addresses or domains that will never be treated as junk mail. Enter the email address or domain in the field and select Apply to add it to the list. You can also remove addresses or domains from the list using the Remove button.
