Additional Information

Do I need any new or additional equipment to get Spectrum?

No new or additional equipment is required to receive Spectrum services. You must have a Spectrum receiver (cable box) connected to any TV on which you would like to receive Spectrum TV service. Types of Spectrum receivers include SD, HD or DVR boxes. Some existing internet customers who have not already upgraded to a DOCSIS 3.0 modem or higher will need to do so to receive the full speed of Spectrum Internet.

Does my email address change if I'm in a Spectrum market?

No. You can still access your email by selecting the email icon located at the top right-hand corner of the Spectrum.net homepage.

Sign in using your Spectrum.net email address and password. We ask that you provide your service address ZIP code as well as an additional security measure. You'll be logged out of your email session after 24 hours, even if you select "Remember me." If you're not currently signed in to Spectrum.net, you'll be prompted to provide your email address, password and service address ZIP code.

If I have In-home WiFi, will I still get 60 Mbps download speed?

  • In-home WiFi customers are provided a high-performance dual-band router capable of delivering at least 60 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and well over 100 Mbps on the 5 GHz band.
  • All WiFi signals weaken as you move farther away from the router, and more so if there are obstructions between you and the router. Try running a speed test while you're relatively close to the router with a clear line of sight to the device.
  • There are also a number of other environmental factors that can degrade your signal (i.e. neighboring networks, baby monitors, cordless phones, wireless speakers, etc). Try removing/moving away from these sources of interference.
  • Also, keep in mind that the client device on which you're running the speed test may not be capable of supporting 60 Mbps.
  • Run a speed test   .
